A SENATE RESOLUTION

RECOGNIZING MR. JAMES “JIM” R. BRACEWELL, OF COLUMBIA, FOR HIS FOURTEEN YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA PHARMACY ASSOCIATION, CONGRATULATING HIM ON BECOMING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE GEORGIA STATE PHARMACY ASSOCIATION, AND WISHING HIM MUCH SUCCESS IN THE FUTURE.

Whereas, Mr. Jim Bracewell has been tireless in his service to the South Carolina Pharmacy Association during the past fourteen years as its vice president; and

Whereas, during his tenure, Mr. Bracewell spent countless hours on legislative issues to promote and protect the South Carolina Pharmacy Association through legislative meetings and public testimonies; and

Whereas, Mr. Bracewell, because of his consistent leadership, constant participation, and honest feedback was recognized by the South Carolina Society of Association Executives as the 2003 Executive of the Year; and

Whereas, Mr. Bracewell serves as the 2005-2006 President of the South Carolina Society of Association Executives, was elected in 2004 to serve as Chairman of the Board of PACE Alliance, and in 2004, served on the National Community Pharmacy Association’s Community Care Rx Board of Directors. He also served as Vice President and member of the Executive Committee of National Council of State Pharmacy Association Executives in 2004-2005, and currently serves as the first President of the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations; and

Whereas, Mr. Bracewell, through dedication to his profession, has been recognized by his peers as an honorary member of the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy’s Phi Lambda and Rho Chi Society chapters, honorary alumnus by the Medical University of South Carolina School of Pharmacy, and Volunteer of the Year by South Carolina Commun-I-Care, Inc. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, recognize Jim Bracewell for his fourteen years of dedicated service as executive vice president of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association, congratulate him on becoming the executive director of the Georgia State Pharmacy Association, and wish him much success in the future.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. James R. Bracewell.
