A JOINT RESOLUTION

AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF ALL YORK COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO IMPOSE AN ADDITIONAL PROPERTY TAX NOT TO EXCEED FOUR MILLS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2003-2004.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION1.Notwithstanding any other provision of law and in addition to the maximum property tax millage otherwise allowed by law to be imposed in York County School District 1 (York), York County School District 2 (Clover), York County School District 3 (Rock Hill), and York County School District 4 (Fort Mill) for district operations for fiscal year 20032004, for fiscal year 20032004 only, the board of trustees of each of these districts may impose an additional property tax for operating purposes not to exceed four mills on taxable property in their respective school districts.

SECTION2.This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
