A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE DR. DEBRA COX ON BEING NAMED SOUTH CAROLINA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR 20032004 AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES TO HER IN ALL OF HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, it is with great pleasure that we recognize South Carolinians who give their time and energy to helping build a sense of togetherness and developing young minds of students in their communities; and

Whereas, it is appropriate to recognize the wonderful achievements of those who work within our public school system and to encourage these individuals who continue to inspire children year after year; and

Whereas, Dr. Debra Cox, Curriculum Coordinator for Code Elementary School in Seneca, was named the 20032004 South Carolina Elementary School Assistant Principal of the Year and her dedication and commitment to teaching has made her a highly respected leader at Code Elementary and in the field of elementary education throughout the State; and

Whereas, the mission of Code Elementary School is to prepare students to become confident, competent, responsible individuals, and to challenge all students to reach their potential by providing innovative techniques and technologies in a positive school environment in partnership with the home, business, and community; and

Whereas, Dr. Cox exemplifies the mission of Code Elementary and it is her work, success, and dedication that has made Code Elementary a warm learning environment and has earned her the coveted recognition of Elementary School Assistant Principal of the Year; and

Whereas, through her commitment to education and instruction, Dr. Debra Cox has made a lasting impact on so many lives, and she will undoubtedly continue to do so well into the future. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Dr. Debra Cox on being named South Carolina Elementary School Assistant Principal of the Year 20032004 and extend best wishes to her in all of her future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Debra Cox of Seneca.
