o This year’s theme is multi-culturalism
o Next meeting is the 1st Tuesday in November
§ September Birthday Bash
o One Sept. B-day at the first bash
o Please encourage your college to come…it is free cake we are talking about
o Also a good time to bring suggestions/comments/questions
§ HSC Student Leadership Retreat
o Was a huge success this year!
o Please take your 3 page summary back to your college
o Resolution writing does not have to take place just at the retreat, it’s all year round
5. New Business
§ AHS 1400 Student Panel—volunteers needed
o Volunteers needed to talk to students in Norman pursuing health care degrees
o Their class is Tuesday, October 31st
§ New Student Magazine
o We will move forward with the project for next summer’s new students
§ Family Medicine Center reminders
o Please present your student ID when going in for an appointment
o Make sure to tell your college to SAY that he or she is a STUDENT
§ COOUP Chair is now vacant
o There are already ideas, it just needs leadership
o Please let any of the SA Exec know if you are interested, or anyone in your college is interested
§ Faculty Senate/Student Association Debate Project
o Andria attended the meeting on Thursday
o The topic will be the future of health care and Massachusetts as an example
§ Proposed Budget/Organization Funding
o The budget was divided based on who attended the meeting, how much did they receive last year, how much they spent, etc.
o There are more organizations this year
o It will be presented to the senate meeting on the 23rd to be voted on

§ Executive Officers
o Breca- New resolutions from the retreat will be voted on at the next Senate meeting
§ Please remind your college senators to be there

o Andria- Fall for OU starts on the 16th and goes all week
§ Cider in the a.m., pumpkin decorating, caramel apples, classic OU game watch party
§ Organization Fair on Friday from 11:00-1:00

§ Race for the Cure on Saturday
§ Blood Drive on Oct. 23rd, 9:00-2:00
