2. Selection Criteria (Screening documents and interview)

3. Korean Language Training Course

2)Class Hour

● Onesemester: 4 hours per day / 5 days per week(Monday~Friday)

● The number of students: 15 students in a class, Dividing into classes after initial placement test on the day of entrance ceremony.

● Subjects: Vocabulary and Basic conversation practice, Korean Grammar, Speaking, Reading, and Writingetc.

3)Course Evaluation and Completion

● Grade evaluation: Regular test

(Midterm : 30% / Final: 50% / Quiz: 10% / Attendance 10%)

● Completion of theCourse: Those who have attendedthree-fourth of class hours (200hours/semester) and passed level tests.

● Certificate of Education: Those who do not meet the above requirements are awarded Certificate of Education

4)Extracurricular Activities

● Orientation: For new students

● Culturalexperience: Experiencing Korean traditional cultures

● Afternoon Special class: Additional classes for level 1 and 3, 4(TOPIK) students

5)Instructors

● They are highly qualified academically and possess extensive teaching experiences and effective teaching methods. They are extremely helpful for students to understand the Korean culture and Korean language.

- Dormitory cost can be changes according to the situation.

- The dormitory cost is for 16 weeks (one semester). If you want to live the dormitory during summer or winter vacation, you should apply and pay for it.

-Payment due: Dormitory fee must be paid within 3 days after entry.

(※If you do not pay within the designated period, your dormitory will be canceled.)

-Fresh students for summer and winter session cannot use dormitory.

-Facilities: Bed, Closet, Telephone, Study room, Bathroom, Laundromat, TV room, Shower facilities, Cafeteria etc.)

- If you do not want to stay in the dormitory, you should submit a report of change of abode and get the permission of the Dean of International Affairs.

- When moving into a dormitory, you are required to submit a medical report (the items include hepatitis and tuberculosis).

- How to Apply for Dormitory Residence

You should choose the dormitory type in Format #1 of the application, with reference to the dormitory guidelines. If you do not choose a dormitory type, you are considered to be a type A applicant.

6. Visa Issuance

1)Residents overseas have to apply for a D-4 visa directly at Korean consulate or embassy near their residential area.

(Required documents: Documents issued by Changwon National University (certificate of entrance, certificate of admission, invitation letter, certificate for business registration)

2)Chinese students must visit the Korean consulate or embassy near their residential area

(Required documents: Authorized visa number that informed by Changwon National University (approved by immigration office), passport, photo * 1, application form for visa, and a copy of identification or hùkǒubù)

※In case of paying tuition under the name of other person, applicants should call the International Affairs to confirm payment.

※Applicants who submitted the certificate of enrollment should submit the Diploma of graduation additionally.

※In case of Chinese applicants, one of below ways to get a certificate of academic background or degree is needed.

8. Notices

1)According to the regulations of the immigration office of the Ministry of Justice, applicants with an acceptance letter are not accepted in case of failing to get an authorized visa number.

2)According to the regulations of the immigration office of the Ministry of Justice, the admission acceptance of applicants can be cancelled when visa isn't issued or approved for being changed from another status.

3)If applicants don't pay tuition within the designated period, applicants' acceptance can be cancelled.

4)If applicants do not pay registration fee within the designated period, the application won't be accepted.

5)If it is confirmed that all submitted documents contain false information or are forged, applicants can face serious consequences during document review stage, and the acceptance can be cancelled.

6)Submitted documents and registration fee will not be returned.

7)If applicants have to cancel the entrance due to fail to receive visa or personal reasons before semester begins, application for refund and copy of bank account should be submitted to get refund. In this case, applicants have to pay for overseas remittance charge.

8)In case of cancel the entrance due to personal reasons after semester begins, tuition will be refunded according to the refund regulations of Korean Language School, International Affairs.

9)After entrance, it is an obligation to follow all guidelines set up by the Korean Language School of the International Affairs while taking the language training. If not, students can get a warning and be expelled.

10)Living in a dormitory is mandatory(except for those who live with their referees in Korea), and students should follow all the guidelines set up by dormitory.

11)If students are not able to stay in dormitory, students must have an approval of dean of International Affair to live outside of the campus.

9. Student Insurance

In case of emergency or unpredicted accident, all new students must buy the international students’ insurance or national health insurance (150,000won / 1 year) upon entering the university during studying period. If the applicant already is insured in his/her home county, the insurance policy should be submitted to the Office of International Affairs.
