1. Purpose

To ensure effective working relations and understanding of the HE curriculum provision and contribute to the maintenance and update of all public information relevant to HE provision. To provide administrative support to the HE and the Access to HE team as and when required. Establish and maintain standards of excellence in service delivery ensuring deadlines are met and targets are achieved.

2. Main Duties and Responsibilities

§  Dealing with telephone and web enquiries, taking messages and follow-up action as appropriate, including course enquiries, information and guidance.

§  Dealing with confidential correspondence in a professional and discreet manner.

§  Organisation of, and participation in, higher education team events and functions i.e. Higher Education Awards and the Junior University.

§  The preparation of reports (i.e. applications/admissions/destinations etc.) and attendance at meetings where required.

§  To participate in team and divisional meetings where required including minute taking at for example exam boards.

§  To participate, organise and assist in the organisation of all HE recruitment, admission and progression activities, including working across college with Learner Services, Info+ and the Business Development Team.

§  To participate in training, development and personal development reviews.

§  Be part of the wider function of the HE Office to ensure the efficient operation of the service, including cover for absence and supporting key college activities.

§  Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required, commensurate with the grade and scope of this post and agreed with the relevant line manager. This may include supporting College events which may be outside normal hours of work.

§  Exemplify British values including tolerance and mutual respect for faiths and beliefs in behaviour at work.

§  Promote and safeguard the welfare of all learners including safeguarding against the risk of radicalisation.
