GUIDELINES
The Niswonger Foundation serves the Northeast Tennessee Region through several different programs. Three of these programs, the School Partnership Program, the Mini Grant Program and the Northeast Tennessee Consortium (i3 Investing in Innovation Grant) require written proposals which can be accessed at their website School Partnership and Mini Grant proposal guidelines will be listed under “Proposals and Nominations” and the Northeast Tennessee Consortium Project Proposal will be listed along with the project proposal form under “i3 Grant and Partnerships”. The Project Proposal form should only be completed for the Federal i3 Investing in Innovation grant funds for high schools and not for school partnership or mini grant funds
1.The application is a Microsoft Word document. The applicant should type their responses under each item. When saving the document use the following: (organization name) i3 Project Proposal, for example: Longview High School i3 Project Proposal.
2.Handwritten applications will not be accepted.
3.The applicant will be notified, by email, upon receipt of the proposal.
4.Proposals will be reviewed by our committee within 30 days of receipt.
5.During the review process the applicant may be contacted for clarity of proposal items.
6.Results of the project review will be sent by email and/or a call from the Niswonger Foundation office.

Project Proposal
Project Title:
Organization:
Project Purpose:
Describe the purpose, need, rationale for the project. What problem or opportunity is this project designed to address?
Project Objective/Activities:
Describe the objective of the project; what the project is to achieve, create, deliver. Please identify who will derive a direct benefit from the outcome. Be specific.
Strategic Context:
Describe how the project relates to the Northeast Tennessee Consortium (i3) plan and initiatives. How will this information be used?
Project Timeline:
State the proposed timeline for the completion of this project.
Project Budget:
On a separate sheet of paper, with the heading Project Budget, indicate all expenses that will be associated with this project, as well as the sources for the funding. If this event was held in the past, how was it funded? An In-kind Budget must accompany the proposal for it to be considered. The in-kind budget would include any and all in-kind contributions with dollar values associated with this project that the school and/or LEA contribute.
Data Collection/Monitoring:
What data does the organization plan to collect? How will the project objectives/activities be monitored?
Validation:
Explain the organization’s plan to share the findings of the project with other organizations. A written summary of outcomes and data must be submitted to NETCO at the completion of the project.
Sustainability Plan:
At the conclusion of this project how does the organization plan to continue the project?
By partnering with NETCO you agree that project data and outcomes may be shared with other entities.The organization name will not appear on any information that is shared in the future.
