PREPARATION TO READ_ECM (UPLOAD):

I recommend charging your battery overnight to be sure it is at 12V, but NEVER upload or download with a battery charger connected to the car. Disable any antivirus software in your laptop, and use the 120V adapter when using your laptop to avoid the laptop from going into sleep mode during the upload and download.

1) Be sure your headlights are not on Auto. You will want all accessories off before programming. Make sure your battery is fully charged since the running lights will come on during this procedure. That’s ok.

2) PUT YOUR KEY FOB INSIDE THE CAR ON THE GEARSHIFT BOOT.

3) Plug the LS2edit cable into the Laptop, but only after you have installed the CDM drivers on the DVD Disc. Turn your laptop on.

4) I put the driver’s window down, with the cable running to the laptop on the roof, on a towel to protect your paint.

5) Go to your Start Menu, then select the LS2Edit Folder, then open LS2PROG not LS2Edit.

6) Select Read_ECM and Save. Name the file your last name to identify it.

7) Now turn on the ignition in the Car, DO NOT START THE CAR! (Your car cannot start without engaging the clutch, so don’t worry. The green Circle Must be lit on your ignition button, and the dash symbols lit. You will likely hear 5 dings.

8) Wait 10 seconds, then plug the OBD2 cable into the under Dash connector, it can only go in one way.

9) Now go back to the laptop and select ACTION>then CONNECT> then OK (Ignore the bells and DIC messages, they are completely normal) This will create an LS2 file that contains an image of your ECM.

10) Email the file you created to for my programming.

PROGRAM_ECM (DOWNLOAD):

Follow the same preparation as you did for the read procedure.

1) Open LS2PROG, then select Prog_ECM. Select Connect, Agree to the license, Click OK.

2) It should take only 60 seconds or so to flash your memory. DO NOT DISTURB ANYTHING DURING THIS DOWNLOAD. DO NOT TURN ANYTHING ON OR OFF, NO OPENING DOORS. Once the programming reaches 100% count to 10 and listen for a reset sound inside the car. You’re done.

3) Disconnect everything. Start the car and let it idle for a few minutes, and then go for a 20 mile drive.

4) Drive normally, no need to go into WOT, but its fine to do so. What you are doing is allowing the computer to re-learn all the Long Term Fuel Trims, which takes a number of miles. The car will feels less responsive during this time, but will come to life.

5) Put the car in Competition Mode and drive carefully. 26 more RWHP is definitely going to rock your world. This car is already scary fast. Competition Mode is the activated by pressing the Traction Control Button twice. This allows the tires to lose traction, but keeps the car in Active Handling to stop sideways fishtailing.
