2. Autopilot and Imagery Checkout Flight Test
Configuration: Piccolo plus Imagery RSSI flight test, see checklist for details.
Land if Engine Run Time reaches 18 min.\
Note: Autopilot recording / transmitting data only (do not click in to autopilot)
Note: Airspeed and altitude calls in English units (feet)
Test Cards
1. External Pilot perform startup (checklist #1)
a. Engine Start
b. Controls Check
2. Flight Director: verify Piccolo is transmitting data
3. Flight Director: confirm Altimeter setting and zero air data sensors.
4. Flight Director: verify Flight Computer transmitting data, camera operational
5. Flight Director: Crew Check
6. External Pilot: Takeoff, level out
7. External Pilot: Climb to ~300’ AGL (650’ MSL) and begin standard pattern
8. Flight Director: verify nominal Piccolo operation <Autopilot Check>
Autopilot Nominal: Continue to 8
Hold: External Pilot maintain Standard Pattern
9. Flight Director verify nominal Imagery operation
10. Data Recording Begins: Stay in Standard Pattern for 5 Cycles
11. Continue pattern until autopilot and imagery checks complete or 15 minutes elapsed (max flight time)
12. Landing (checklist # 2)
