2,000 young people in Skövde say No to drugs!
About 2,000 young people in Skövde in school years 5–9 have a SANT contract.This means that they have promised to abstain from all forms of drugs and are not involved in shoplifting or vandalism. If you sign a SANT contract, you are in a lottery every term with great prizes and are also given benefits and discounts.
What is a SANT contract?
When young people sign a SANT contract they promise to abstain from all forms of drugs such as sniffing, alcohol, narcotics, tobacco and doping substances. They also promise not to be involved in vandalism or theft, the two most common types of crime among young people.
All municipal schools and several independent schools in Skövde are included in the activities, and most pupils renew their contracts. The contract is voluntary and is valid for one year. The contract is in the form of an app, so it is digital, and pupils sign using their bank ID together with their parent/guardian. It is also possible to have the contract on paper.
What do you get if you sign a SANT contract?
There is a lottery twice a year at the school with many great prizes. The prizes vary from year to year. You also receive discounts and benefits for the whole period of the contract, i.e. the period February 2017 - August 2017. The benefits are described in an information sheet. What happens if you do not keep the contract?
If you break the contract your SANT card will be withdrawn according to the agreement at the school. Adults will take care of any withdrawals - it is not a question of young people informing on others.
To parents
When you and your child sign a SANT contract you agree as a parent to do your best to help your child follow the agreement.
SANT is cooperation
There are similar contracts in about 80 municipalities in Sweden. There is a national association called Riksförbundet Smart.
Work with the contract in Skövde is a collaboration between the child and education sector, the citizens and social development sector and the social service sector.
