1st JUNIOR FOOTBALL FESTIVAL

Saturday 23rd June 2018 @ 10am

All entries must be submitted by 8th June 2018 with all relevant documentation and payment.

Format

(Please note as per FAW mini football rules – each player must have a period of play in each game)

Under 6’s, - 4 a side (maximum squad of 6).

Under 8’s, - 5 a side, (maximum squad of 7).

Under 10’s, - 6-a-side (maximum squad of 8)

Under 11s – 6 a-side (maximum squad of 8)

Under 12’s, - 6-a-side (maximum squad of 8)

Under 14’s, - 6-a-side (maximum squad of 8)

Under 16’s – 5-a-side (maximum squad of 7)

Girls Under 10’s – 5-a-side (maximum squad of 7)

Girls Under 12’s – 5-a-side (maximum squad of 7)

Girls Under 14’s – 5-a-side (maximum squad of 7)

Each age group will play a Round Robin group format with a knockout phase after the group stage.

Minimum number of teams per age group – 4.

The fixtures for groups, will be given to team managers on arrival

(9am registration for 10am start.)

All Managers must to report to Match Control on arrival

Medals will be given to all participants at Under 6’s & 8’s. In all other age groups medals will be presented to the Finalists only.

£20 per team entered

£15 for under 6’s & all girl teams

Parking will be available at Tregaron Secondary school

Catering

Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Photographs

Photo’s will be taken on the day and of all presentations.

Entries will be on a first come first served basis.

Tournament Rules

·  The festival will be played in accordance with the latest FAW guidelines for mini and junior football

·  The organisers hold the right to amend or withdraw any age groups depending on entry numbers

·  All Coaches must hold a valid FAW certified award along with an unexpired FAW Safeguarding number. Cards must be readily available for spot checks during the day. Failure to comply will result in immediate disqualification and will be reported to CWFA.

·  All teams will be expected to treat their own injuries. In a case of serious injury it should be reported to match control. First Aid will be available on site.

·  It’s the team manager’s responsibility to ensure that no unregistered players or over aged players play for their team. Failure to adhere will result in immediate disqualification.

·  Bibs will be made available for any game where kits are deemed to clash.

·  Players may only play for one team throughout the day of the festival

·  Game duration will be supplied on the day once we know how many teams and games will be in each age group. We will try and ensure an equal amount of playing time for all teams in the group stages.

·  All match balls will be supplied by the festival organisers and will comply with FAW regulation sizes

·  All substitutes must play a part in every game

·  Shin pads must be worn by all players when on the field of play

·  No jewellery to be worn by players

·  Referee decisions will be final in all games

·  There will be no penalties at under 6’s, 8’s & 10s. All fouls will be in-direct free kicks

·  There will be corners, kick offs and throw ins as normal in all age groups

·  There will be no offside rule in any game

·  Roll on/off substitutions can be made anytime during the game. Remember all players must play some part in each game.

·  Goalkeepers may throw or kick the ball out of their hands.

·  Goalkeepers may handle any back pass.

·  Referee decision will be final

·  Following the round robin games we will enter a knockout phase. Points will be awarded as follows in the group games – win=3pts, draw=1pt. If teams are tied on points then we will follow the following procedure – goals for, goals against then head to head result. If teams are still tied penalty kicks will be taken.

·  In the knockout phase if extra time is required it will be played over 7minutes one-way. Then penalties will be taken.

·  All spectators must view the games from behind the relevant barriers. Only two coaches and substitutes to be on pitch side when team is playing

·  All players in the under 6 & under 8’s category will receive a medal. Then only finalists will get a medal.

·  We adhere to the RESPECT policy at TTFC. All teams, players, coaches, parents, organisers and other observers must adhere to this policy. Respect all players, officials and organisers and remember: junior football is all about enjoyment, encouragement and development.

·  In the case of any disputes it will be the festival organisers who will be responsible for making all final decisions.
