Novice Swimming Championships
When/Where: Saturday, February 25, 2017
Location: IUP Field House

Facility: Six lane, 25-yard pool, with electronic timing/starting, manual backups
Warm-Ups: Start @ 8:00. Lane assignments/time will be emailed prior to meet.
Meet Start: Following swimmers parade @ 10:00 AM.
Entries: Swimmers 7 or 8 years of age may enter 4 events: 1 must be a relay.
Swimmers 6 years of age & younger may enter 4 events: 1 must be a relay in any combination of “8 & under” or “6 & under” events.
Age: Age as of December 1st 2016
Entry Fee: $5.00 per swimmer per Individual Event:
NOTE: $5.00 per swimmer Facility Fee
$20.00 per relay

Seeding: All individual and relay events are timed finals and will be seeded fro
slowest to fastest. All swimmers will report to the lower gym to be seeded. No parents will be allowed in the pool area.
Awards: One designated individual from each team may pick up awards.
Awards include:

1st – 6th Medals 1st – 3rd Medals 1st & 2nd Girls Plaques
7th – 9th Ribbons 4th – 6th Ribbons 1st & 2nd Boys Plaques
Participation medals for each swimmer and heat ribbons will be given out.
Scoring: Individual: 16-13-12-11-10-9-7-5-4-3-2-1
Relay: 32-26-24-22-20-18-14-10-8-6-4-2
Rules: Current USA Swimming Technical Rules will be enforced. Inquiries are to be made by the Head Coach only & directed solely to the Head Referee.
Vendors: Action Shots will be available for your photography needs.
You will need to go to their website at actionshotserie.com prior to the swim meet and pre-register.
Swimmers Network will be available for you to purchase various swimming
items.
Meet Mobile: This meet will be on Meet Mobile.

- An entry card must be completed for each event the swimmer is entering.
- Entry cards must be submitted on deck to the computer room prior to or before EVENT #17.
- Payment must accompany event entries. ($5.00 per event)
- Time Trial events will begin immediately following the freestyle relays. Swimmers should report to the seeding area on deck, not in the gymnasium.
