Important Dates:

Entry Deadline: Friday, March 10, 2017

The entry form, entry fee and accompanying images must be received by deadline date.

Notification : Friday, April 21, 2017

Artists whose pieces have been accepted will be notified by e-mail and letter no later than April 21, 2017. Details for delivery or shipping of accepted work will be included.

Delivery: Sunday, May 21 & Monday May 22, 2017

To Schmucker Art Gallery, Gettysburg College, Sunday, May 21, from 4 pm to 6 pm & Monday, May 22, 11 am to 1 pm. No exceptions will be made.

Opening Reception: Friday, June 2, 2017

From 5 pm to 7 pm at Schmucker Art Gallery, Gettysburg College, Awards Ceremony at 6 pm.

Exhibition Hours: Thursday, June 1 to Friday, June 23, 2017

Schmucker Art Gallery hours: Tues. through Sun. 10 am – 4 pm. Closed on Mondays.

Pick-up: Friday, June 23 & Saturday, June 24, 2017

From Schmucker Art Gallery, Friday, June 23, from 4 pm to 6 pm and Saturday, June 24, from 11 am to 1 pm. You must plan on having your items removed before the end of the Artist Check-Out. We reserve the right to remove artwork from its display space in order to expedite the tear-down process.

Commission on Sales: The ACAC will take a 40% commission from the sale of art.

Agreement by the artist submitting work:

Submission of work to the exhibition will constitute an agreement to comply with rules, conditions and requirements listed on this form.

  • Entries must be the original work of the submitting artist and completed within the past three years (2014 through the entry deadline).
  • Entries may NOT have been accepted for exhibition in prior ACAC Juried Art Exhibitions.
  • ACAC and Schmucker Art Gallery reserve the right to reject any work.
  • All work must be free-standing or hang-ready.
  • Works should be no larger than 60 inches, framed/hang-ready or display dimensions, in any direction.
  • Labeled work must include title, date, price or insurance value if not for sale,and artist's name.
  • No prints or copies of original works will be accepted. Digital prints will be considered original art only if accompanied by the artist’s statement confirming same.
  • Once an item has been accepted it may not be withdrawn or the conditions of sale changed without the consent of the Art Exhibition Committee.
  • Art sales do not include reproduction rights. The artist and buyer must negotiate separately.
  • Artwork receiving request of purchase will be sold on a "first-come/first-served" basis.
  • Artwork purchased but not collected will be retained by ACAC. Every effort will be made to contact the buyer. If the sale remains incomplete after 3 months, the artist can reclaim the work.
  • ACAC and Schmucker Art Gallery reserve the right to photograph work for publicity and education purposes only. Please indicate any objections in writing and attach to your entry form.
  • ACAC and Schmucker Art Gallery cannot be responsible for storage of any materials beyond June 24, 2017.

Instructions for online entering

  • Read all of the important dates, details, and artist’s agreement carefully. This entry form will list all of the show specifications, restrictions, and dates of which you need to be aware. Please print a copy of this for your records.
  • Choose good, well-lit images of artwork you wish to submit. You may submit up to 3 works of art per entry.
  • Submit one image for 2-dimensional work and two images for 3-dimensional work.
  • Images must be saved as a .jpg file format at 300 dpi and no larger than 5 MB in size.
  • Please carefully label your images with your name and title of the work like the following example;

  • Make sure your filenames correspond to the entry form. Anything labeled incorrectly may not be considered for entry.
  • Please submit this completed form with your credit card information and .jpg images of your artwork in one email to
  • If there is a yellow bar at the top of your Word document, click the button “Enable Editing”. This will allow you to type inside the document. If you do not see a yellow bar, you should automatically be able to type into the document.
  • To type into each field you must hold your cursor over the line you wish to type in. The selection will turn gray as you hover over it. Click the line and it will become a box for you to type into.
  • After you have completed your form, please double check that everything is spelled correctly and your payment information is included. Then, save the document as “YourNameJAE2017Entry”. You will then attach this document to an e-mail along with your .jpg images of your entries. Please load the images as attachments in your e-mail to ensure that EVERYTHING is included in ONE email.
  • Make the subject of your e-mail “2017 JAE Entry”. Retain a copy of your entry for your records.
  • Shortly after you send your entry, Adams County Arts Council will send an email confirming that it was successfully received. If you don’t receive this email confirmation, call the ACAC office at 717-334-5006to determine how to resend it successfully. If you don’t follow up on this step, your artwork may not be considered for the juror’s consideration.
