Adria Monfalcone, in collaboration with the Friuli Venezia Giulia F.I.N. regional committee presents the 27th Edition of the Trofeo Velocità “Marco Soranzio” and the 15th “Nevio Marini” Memorial, on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November 2014, an International Swimming Meeting, at the Trieste swimming pool (25m, 10 lanes) - Passeggio Sant’ Andrea 8.

AUSTRALIAN 50 METERS FREE STYLE
Each of the top 8 ranked teams in 100 meters free style can choose one swimmer to enter the “Australian”. Should two or more swimmers have identical times during one of the heats the race will be repeated in order to eliminate one swimmer. Any swimmer with a false start will be eliminated.
4 x 100 MEDLEY RELAY - 4 x 100 FREE STYLE RELAY
Each team can register in one medley relay and one free style relay w/m over all categories.
Swimmers who do not participate in individual races may enter in a relay.
v Heats will be formed based on registration times.
v Each team may register more swimmers w/m per race per category, but only the swimmer
in the best position will give points to her/his team
v A swimmer may enter in more races plus the 200 medley, but it will consider only the best four positions. The 200 medley race does not score points for teams and for swimmer, but it has a separate ranking.
MEMORIAL “NEVIO MARINI”
Members of F.I.N. - C.I.P. and other Swimming Federations are eligible to race in the following categories:
ESORDIENTI A: WOMEN 2003 - 2004 MEN 2002 - 2003
v A swimmer may enter any races (not the medley).
v Each team may register more swimmers w/m per race.
v Swimmers compete on Saturday and Sunday morning, positioned
according to registration times, in the heats of the Trofeo Velocità.
GENERAL RULES FOR BOTH TROPHYS
Non-refundable registration fees are as follows. Relay: € 9,00. Individual per swimmer, per race: € 7,00.
An absent swimmer may be replaced by a substitute without changing race nor category.
No fee for the “Australian”.

Scoring system: First place, 9 points, second place, 7 points, third place, 6 and so on to the 8th place, 1 point.
Trofeo Velocità “Marco Soranzio”:
v Category ranking: Girls / Boys (boys in two groups: 2001 and 1999–2000) –
Juniors – Seniors. Total sum of all points obtained by each swimmer in each race.
v Team ranking: sum of points from the best swimmer in all individual races (R01-R-J-S). The two Australian
relays count double.
v The 200 medley race f/m does not score points for teams.
“Nevio Marini” Memorial:
v Individual ranking w / m for each race.
v Team ranking: total sum of points from all races.

· Best male performance in backstroke (total sum of points in 50 and 100 meters)

· All swimmers will receive participation prizes
Prizes may change at the discretion of the organizing committee.
The “Trofeo Nevio Marini” will be awarded to the best Esordienti A team (in case of an equal score the the team with the best placings (most firsts, second places etc.) will determine the winner).
The “Trofeo Velocità” will be awarded to the team with the highest sum of points from the three categories Boys/Girls, Juniors and Seniors (in case of an equal score the team with the highest points in the boys/girls category will win).
In the individual category ranking, in case of scores parity, the best performances will be counted, and in case of further parity, the tabular F.I.N. score rule will be applied.
F.I.N. rules will be applied for anything not contemplated in the above rules.
The organizing committe declines any responsibility for any accidents that may injure the swimmers, their chaperons or third parties and consequences or damage, before, during or after the meeting.
