Course Requirements:

Come to class and be on time. Class begins at 6:30 P.M. Please try not to be late. Please bring your books and supplies to class every day. / Practice English every day & Speak English only in class!
Work with partners and groups in class, but do not copy other student’s homework or tests. You will get a 0. / Turn off your cell phone during class.

CASAS Policy--Every quarter you MUST take the CASAS (government) test. This is very important. I will notify you of the exact date as soon as I know.

Be Respectful and Kind—Treat others in this class as you would like to be treated. Please raise your hand when you wish to speak. Do not talk while your teacher, or your classmate, is speaking.

No Make-Up Tests –There are no make-ups given in this class. To pass this class, you must take tests. If you miss tests, you may not go to the next level.

Grading: To pass this class, your average must be at least 75%.

You will get grades on your homework, grammar quizzes, writing and classroom activities.

100-90% Excellent

89-81% Good

75-80% OK

74-60% Need more work at this level

59% and below Need much more study and review
