Explanatory notes

Evaluation and preparation of a construction programme at this level covers the completion of simple, manual and/or computer based programmes to provide contractors and clients with accurate construction sequences for specific projects.

Outcome 1

Evaluate construction methodologies and sequence of construction.

Evidence requirements

1.1Construction methodologies are identified and evaluated for suitability in terms of the building project.

1.2The sequence of construction is determined in terms of the selected construction methodology.

Outcome 2

Prepare a presentation of a simple construction programme for a project.

Rangemay include but is not limited to – bar charts, critical paths.

2.1Presentation of a construction programme explains its purpose in terms of industry requirements.

Rangerequirements may include but are not limited to – progress analysis, completion targets, time extension claims.

2.2A construction programme is developed to meet the requirements of a building project.
