1. Which work of literature in our curriculum was most meaningful to you? What elements of that work did you most enjoy?

2. In what ways have you grown as a reader and writer? What has had the biggest impact on you as a learner?

3. How much literature do you anticipate reading now that you are done with English class? What types of reading are you most likely to engage in?

4. How much attention do you pay to feedback provided by your teachers? Do you feel that feedback leads to better reading and writing?

5. In teacher school, they tell us that we need to provide feedback at 3/1, meaning that we need to identify and praise three things for every one critical comment. Do you feel that this is still important for you as 12th graders?

6. We try to incorporate opportunities for you to demonstrate your knowledge and skill through discussion and written responses, through creative expression and formal assessments such as objective tests and timed writes. Do you wish we had offered more or less opportunities for you to respond in one or more of the above areas?

7. We moved from a novel heavy (with lots of outside reading) curriculum from the past many years, to a poetry heavy curriculum this year. Were you aware of this change? What thoughts do you have about the difference between studying poetry and studying novels or plays?

8. Where do you see yourself in 6-10 years? What kind of writing and reading do you imagine yourself engaging in after you complete your education?
