1. What do Leo and Stargirl do at the mall? Why?
They follow people for 15 minutes and figure out what type of a card to give them. It is a game Stargirl played when she was homeschooled and it only really required 1 player.
2. What are 3 sources that inspire Stargirl’s seemingly random acts of kindness?
Stargirl is inspired by information she reads at in the local newspaper (fillers), bulletin boards and gossip she hears at the barber shop or local hairdresser.
3. Why was Leo surprised when he met Stargirl’s parents?
He was surprised that they were normal people.
4. What is Stargirl’s happy wagon? What is the tally in it now?
It is an old, small toy wagon that Stargirl has that she puts stones into it after something happens to make her happy. She takes one out when something makes her upset. Sad or happy (20) 18 happy
5. Why is Leo starting to resent Stargirl?
He is upset because everyone is shunning him.
6. What does Road Runner mean? What was Leo’s response to Stargirl’s banner?
Road Runner is in reference to the banner Stargirl hung from the sign outside of the school that said “Stargirl loves Leo.”
7. Who does Leo blame for Stargirl’s shunning? What does he do?
Stargirl, she won’t be like everyone else.
8. How does Stargirl demonstrate that she is desperate to have the shunning end?
She changes into Susan and wears a sign saying “Talk to me and I’ll scratch your back.”
9. At the beginning of Chapter 26, why is Leo so surprised?
She changes into Susan.
10. Why is Dori Dilson, who has been Stargirl’s one enduring friend, angry with her?
She is not being true to herself.

They stop in the desert.
