TRING RIDE 5th JUNE 2016
1. TURN RIGHT at end of driveway & follow road ignoring BW on left (you return here later) and road turning on right. The road goes uphill - take left turn ARRI WIG LANE. Follow this for 1.5m until it starts to dip and you come to a sharp right bend. Take BW on the left (log at entrance) follow edge of field up a steep hill. At top of second hill continue ahead DO NOT turn left or right. Follow BW and continue across another two open fields until you come to Cherry Tree Farm. Go through two gates next to house and onto lane.
2. FORSHORT ROUTE turn left and go to 3. For LONGROUTEturn right & continue on road around right hand bend and left hand bend until you come to Braid Wood Activity Centre on right. Take BW shortly after on right that runs down hill until you come to an open gate. Turn left and follow the edge of the field up the hill. Follow BW through slightly wooded area until you reach main road. Turn right. Continue on road past CHARTRIDGE LODGE on right. Take driveway shortly after on right marked BW. Pass white cottage on right and continue down hill (care flinty) and up again until you reach a farm (CARE SPOOKY MACHINERY on BW). Go through farm until you get to the road turn left (you should recognise this from earlier). Ride back along road until you get to Cherry Tree Farm where you came out earlier continue ahead.
3. TURN left at T junction and then right at pond (Rays Hill). Pass house on left and to avoid road follow track on left down steep hill and up the other side. At top of hill turn right at BW marker post. Follow road past the Full Moon Pub on right.
Ride along common which runs parallel to the road crossing a small lane called Horseblock lane for 1m.
4. TURN LEFT down STONEY LANE. At the bottom of the hill take unmade road to left marked HAWRIDGE VALE. It continues onto the common until you reach a small lane. Turn left then almost immediately right. It continues for 0.7 mile until you reach a road. (ignore BW to left half way across the common).
5. TURN RIGHT on main road for short distance then left at KILN ROAD. Continue until you come to a sharp bend to right – go straight ahead into woods marked PUBLIC BYEWAY 77 thro wooden horse gateway. Follow for 1.5 miles through woods and then onto a rough track until you reach the road.
6. TURN immediately left at junctions and follow road for approx 1 mile past Drayton House until 2ND BW on right. This will eventually passa white cottage on right. Follow lane until you come to a small common on left which you could ride down the right hand side of. Take left turn at bottom (not Parrots Lane) Take next right and go up hill and 1st turn left (CARE SHARP BEND) take next driveway on right marked BW (Dundridge Manor). Follow this BW passing house on left and into woods. Eventually you will come to small road which you passed at beginning of ride. Turn right back to venue.
