A student worker role would include some or all of the following:
Developing and maintaining an ongoing vision and strategy.
- Develop strategy – timetable /programme for year
- To help formulate appropriate overall objectives and specific strategies for student work
- Overseeing church student events
- Help the church to both explore and experience strategies for integrating current church family with students - and students with current church family.
- 1st point of contact for new students
- Oversee Student publicity – image and events
Providing motivation, training and support for students in the church
- Create and oversee Student team and develop them
- Identify student leaders coming through
- Develop student resources
- Oversee “Discipleship for Students”
- Serve and release students for service
Point of contact for student matters, local and national
- Build relationships with campus authorities + organisations
- Develop relationship with Fusion and be aware of UK resources
- Integrate external conferences and events into student programme

- Some administrative skills in particular IT skills
- Expected to develop communications for young people, parents and church members. For example:
a. Regular report on activities to the PCC

Qualifications & Knowledge
- Degree level education
- Student Worker related training
- Direct ongoing experience with young people (employed or voluntary)
- Organisational and/or church life experience
- Experience of Church Student Work
Circumstances
