2. “Role is Live” Announcement for Hiring Managers

Purpose: Inform and invest hiring managers on timeline, strategy, and process

Audience: Hiring managers and other key stakeholders

Hey Betty Bagel,

Good news! Our [JOB NAME] is now live on our careers page! It's been automatically posted to Glassdoor and on Monday, we'll post it on LinkedIn, too. I’ll be keeping a close eye on candidate quality by source and reporting back as needed.

Next week for me is about 1) building and executing on a list of prospects (prioritizing diversity candidates) and 2) actioning our direct applicants and scheduling my first recruiter screens.

Bigger picture, I expect our timeline to look something like this:

●Weeks 1-3: 4/3-4/21 - sourcing / reviewing inbound applications

●Weeks 2-4: 4/10-4/28 - my recruiter screens

●Weeks 2-5: 4/10-5/5 - your department screens

●Weeks 3-6: 4/17-5/12 - candidate take home exercises

●Weeks 4-7: 4/24-5/19 - onsite interviews

●Target start date: End of May

Of course the details of the length of each process vary, but hopefully this timeline helps set expectations.

And now, for some metrics!

Total Recruiter Screens / 15
Total Applications / 75
Prospecting emails / 30
Referrals / 3

We use the categories above to ensure that the health of our recruiting pipeline is on track. The numbers you see in red are estimations based on our historical data of roles that had a similar difficulty level to ours (difficulty as measured by seniority, talent availability, recruiting + hiring manager investment required, etc.). We expect hitting these numbers to result in finding our ideal hire. Again, each role is unique (even if you’re hiring for an exact same role you hired for in the past, the market may have changed), so we use these numbers as guidelines rather than absolutes.

Finally, what can you do? So glad you asked. :) Post the role on your social media (I just posted on my Twitter!) and look through your LinkedIn network to see if you're connected with anyone who's a potential fit. Here's a reminder on how to post to social through Greenhouse, and here is a how-to for generating your referrer link. If you see people you don't know who look good, send them my way, and I'll reach out to them.

I know that was a LOT of info, so if there’s anything I can clarify, please do let me know.

Happy weekend!

Best,

Raven Recruiter
