3. UPDATE PROBLEM SOLVING PLANS:

1)85/11 Early Morning Train services from Liverpool Lime Street Station with regards to the students returning. Advised that drugs dog operations had been in place for the incoming on Thursday evenings and train patrols on the Friday mornings. Only issue raised was no barrier staff for Northern Rail at Lime Street for these services.

2) 13/11 Sandhills/Kirkdale area Trespass. This PSP has now been signed off by Merseyrail although patrols still made of the area.

3)12/11 Runcorn Station Anti Social Behaviour. When available officers have attended the station on Friday and Saturday evenings and will continue to do so. The main evening from intelligence is Friday evenings and therefore still plan to attend on a Friday evening with a drugs dog operation.

4. UPDATE ACTIONS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MEETING:

1) Issue with Homeless in LiverpoolCity Centre area particularly with males sleeping rough at Liverpool Central. Officers have linked in with LiverpoolCity Council over past few months and monthly meeting set up with Council/Homeless charities and Merseyside Police. Males were removed from Liverpool Central and accommodation provided. 2 further males have been provided accommodation from Liverpool Lime Street area.

2) Continue to provide Patrols of Kirkdale and Sandhills area.

3)Pcso Debbie Ball is linking in with Merseyrail Electrics staff to arrange date for custody suite visit.

4) Early Morning Trains with Fresher’s week approaching. APS Banks had produced a 2 week operational order for this and the operation had High Visibility Officers on Every Evening and Early Morning at Liverpool Lime Street and Liverpool Central Stations. Thursday evenings a Drugs Dog operation was arranged which resulted in 6 offences detected. Visits were made to Local Universities liaising with the students.

5. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

a)Performance

Discussion about what officers had been involved with over past few months. Crucial Crew in St Helens Schools, Homeless Charities, Fresher’s weeks, Early Morning Trains, Student accommodation visits, Revenue Checks, On board Surgeries.

b)Intelligence

Discussion about Football escort officers returning From London due to Last services not always covered. It was advised that officers when travelling on a football escort take the majority of Supporters or the main risk group. If this group is identified officers will take that service

c)Any other business

APS Banks discussed the option of more on board train surgeries as we currently provide Virgin, East Midland and LondonMidland trains. Would also like to provide Northern Rail, Merseyrail and Transpennine Express with these surgeries. Keith Millard suggested that on Virgin On Board Surgeries he will try to arrange the advertising of these via Virgin.

Keith Millard discussed the meeting with Halton Borough Council regarding the signage around Runcorn Station area regarding the alcohol ban in the area.
