Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA-www.sewa.org) is a membership based organization of women working in informal sector with a membership of over 13 lakh. It is involved in organizing and advocacy work through its various development programs across nine states of India.

SEWA supported financial institution thrift and credit society is operational in 5 district of Bihar. We have started operation in Bihar in 2012. We are present in Munger, Bhagalpur, Katihar, Purnea and Khagadia. At present we are working with 8000 women members who are informal sector worker. The society is working for financial inclusion of women.

1.  Post : Chief Operations Manager

Place of work: Bihar

Job description –

Following would be the main job responsibilities of the Operation Manager-

COM is expected to overview field operations in every district of Bihar.

Coordinate with local staff on daily basis to ensure that the project is running on schedule and is implemented. She would ensure high quality and timely deliverables in line with the proposed strategy and targets. She must visit to area of operations in a month and solve issues on timely basis or as and when required. Intensive field work required

Specific Responsibility

·  Support in implementation of plan.

·  Focusing on quality of work and efficiency.

·  Ensuring sustainability of plan by meeting targets and maintaining operational efficiency.

·  Develop reports and documents as required.

·  Responsible for training and documentation.

·  Generate progress report on monthly basis.

Qualifications & skills required:

·  At least a graduate preferably in science or commerce.

·  At least 3 years of relevant experience of dealing directly field operations in any MFI.

·  Good knowledge of to microfinance.

·  Ability to handle data on a large scale.

·  Good analytical skills.

·  Good interpersonal skills and problem solving attitude.

·  Willing to travel.

·  Knowledge of MS-Office (word, excel, power point) is must.

·  Ability to handle issues.
