Ø  Cause:: DPM agent installation stuck at 1% due to Visual c++ Redistributable 2005

*****************************************

If the troubleshooting steps work perfectly fine without any interruption, then proceed further with the following steps.

Ø  Solution:

·  Uninstall SQL and DPM or simply format the machine

·  Install operating System (Windows Server 2012 R2)

·  Install .NET Frameworks 3.1

·  Just Install SQL Server 2012 with all the features (Restart Required)

·  Just click on “Data Protection Manager”

·  Do not click on “DPM Remote SQL Prep” (This will deploy Visual c++ Redistributable 2005 which will stop agent deployment)

Hopefully, your issue will be resolved without any interruption. If you need any further assistance, feel free to contact me by writing on this blog.
