Job Purpose
To undertake research investigations in collaboration with and under the supervision of Professor Magdalena Titirici at QMUL and Dr.CarmenSalcianu at Johnson Matthey, in order to realise the objectives and development of the Innovate UK project.
The overall objective of the project is to develop new and low cost materials to be tested as negative electrodes in Na-Ion batteries.
The postdoctoral associate will produce a range of nanostructured carbon materials with various pore structures, functionalities and conductivities and test their performance in Na-ion batteries using various electrochemical techniques.

1.PhD or equivalent professional experience in Chemistry or Material Science and Engineering or equivalent subjects

Working Environment
  1. Contribute towards theSchool of Engineering and Materials Science
  2. Responsible, under the general guidance of Professor Magdalena Titirici, for undertaking the programme of work.
  1. Prepare reports of appropriate research results for public presentation through seminars and conferences. Contribute to writing papers summarising research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals (of high international standing where possible). Contribute to other reports where possible.
  1. Any other relevant activities related to the project as appropriate
