1. Name two things that were portrayed differently in the movie, in comparison

to the novel. Explain why they were different and whether this was a change

for the better or worse. 20 points

In the movie Mertile does not yell to her husband to beat her and in the book she does.

Gatsby gets three shots when he gets killed in the movie and in the book he only gets one.

2. Did the actors play their parts well? Did you like any actor better than

another? Did any of the actors make you feel differently about their

character, compared to the novel? Explain all answers. 10 points

Yes I liked Gatsby the most, because of the way he dressed and his true love for Daisy.

Yes, Daisy, she was acting a little too crazy and hyper in the movie.

3. What part did music play in the production? Name two scenes where the

music helped make the action more dramatic and explain how it (music) did

this.

Gatsby’s parties, the music may them more fun and people acting all crazy.

When Daisy and Gatsby danced it may it seem more romantic and they looked more in-love.

4. Give a general description of the costumes.

Flashy, Colorful, Loose, Hills, Fancy….

5. Were the costumes what you expected? Explain.

Yes, because they were from the 20’s, it really seem like it was done during this period of time.

6. What was the best thing about the movie (costumes, music, a specific actor)?

Explain. 5 points

My favorite things were the costumes and the music, it really gave it a good taste of the 20’s.

7. What there anything that could have been better in the movie? Explain.

Well I think that if they would it put Mertile’s death, the way the car hit her and who was driving and if Daisy would it left with Gatsby they would it had a better life together.
