1 . INFORMATION OF ARCELIK

ıÜüArçelik was founded in 1955 and entered the Turkish household appliances sector by producing its first washing machine in 1959 and its first refrigerator in 1960. In 1968, Arçelik moved to its Çayırova facilities. In the 1970s and 80s, the company expanded its product range and opened its Eskişehir Refrigerator Plant in 1975, İzmir Vacuum Cleaner Plant in 1979 and Ankara Dishwasher Plant in 1993.

1999 was a year of growth and reorganization. Arçelik founded Ardem to manufacture cooking appliances in June and brought under its roof Türk Elektrik Endüstrisi A.Ş. and Atılım ve Gelişim Pazarlama A.Ş. as a single legal entity. In January 2001, Arçelik A.Ş. took over the marketing and sales activities of Beko products that used to be marketed and sold by Beko Ticaret. The new organization model enabled the company to manage production and sales/marketing activities centrally and to increase productivity.


The Orbital washing machine created by the R&D Center attracted attention worldwide and won the first Technology Grand Award in 1998; it won the 2. Technology Grand Award in 1999 with its MQM (Motor Fault Detection) project.


The vision of Arçelik A.Ş. is to possess one of the ten most preferred global brands in our sector by the year 2010.

What is important for our Company is not simply to expand, and make profits, but to generate strategies which will allow us to maintain our competitive edge through continuous development, and secure our future greatness. We are in the process of seeking new areas of co-operation, and building new strategic partnerships. In order to enhance product diversification, and to respond to diverse consumer requirements under the same roof, as of 2004, we have already started selling Motorola, Siemens, LG, Philips, and Sony-Ericsson cellular phones, and Sony electronic equipment. Our cellular phone spectrum has been enriched by Arçelik and Beko brand cell phones. Following in the footsteps of this development, we have included household furniture into our product spectrum. As of the end of 2004, we have opened more than 30 Arstil furniture outlets, in 20 provinces of Turkey. We are also planning to expand the product leasing method which we initiated within the last year, and which is specifically developed to meet seasonal requirements, in all the major cities. Again, in response to consumer requirements, we have produced the first washing machines in Turkey with payload capacities of 7kg, and 10 kg; thus perfecting a product spectrum ranging from a payload capacity of 3.5 kg, up to 10 kg, and responding to diverse consumer needs.

Arcelik Bolu cooking appliances plant was established in 1997. Its was established Arcelik and Demirdokum with incorporation. Ardem was astablished on 191000 m2 field which was began production in 1981 of November.It was made modernization in 1944. And computers were controlled production line in conculusion technology.Then closed filed of Ardem was increased 41760 m2.Ardem was combined in big partner Arcelik in 1999.Therefor ıt was increased power of competition.

Following the relocation of Elektra Bregenz production facilities to Bolu in 2003, this plant attained the highest production capacity under a single roof in Europe. In this plant, which achieved 89% capacity utilisation in 2004, an oven-stove combination kitchen range with electronic controls has been added to the product spectrum, with a view to increasing customer satisfaction. Meanwhile, production continues with the inclusion of the “New Line” series for Beko and for Blomberg, as well as further improvements in appearance and functions for the other products.

2 . INTRODUCTION

I am going doing apprenticeship at production engineer management. I am going to investigate type of organization , standard application , control techniques and production planing , accounting , selling and purchasing and plant layout in organization and management of the plant. And i am going to investigate assembly line in this department. I am going to investigate factors noticed in selectio of plant location in general management deparment. I am going to investigate storage and stock layout in material department. I am going to investigate other auxiliary foundations in electric depatment. I am going to investigate productivity , quality control in investigation and development department and safety and workers & boss relation in workers & boss relations deoartment.

3 . 1 ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT OF A PLANT

3 . 1 . 1 Type Of Organization :

There is a simple orginazation application when made simple production at Arcelik cooking appliances plant. There is not relation of subalterntop. Blue and white collar commune can face to face establish communacation with manager. So hieroglyph structure is minimize and making simple procedure.

There are sport activities like table tenis , football , basketball , fitness. However there are the activities like backgammon , chess tournament , lectures , seminars , amusement , concerts , and starting working education.

There are three relays in factory. Workers change relay time at one weak. Working time is 08:00 – 16:00 for A relay , 16:00 – 24:00 for B relay , 24:00 – 08:00 for C relay.

The enterprise is used 9,2 demand of ORACLE . this software can enforce manufactured entering – leaving for stok system. Some depatment is used ORACLE Microsoft SQL server 2000 version. This process is used apropos energy software. And there is labeling system aporos stockes. If enterprise is needed pedestal of data. Fistly is used ORACLE.

SAP software is used at ORACLE pedestal of data , the production and the financial processes. The enterprise is used the UNIX operating system. This system is worked until making receipt from the entering of the produce at entegre form. There are the moduls like workers relation , the material , quality guaranty. Arcelik cooking appliances plant is used a software for workers relation which name is BILIN. The SAP and ERP are best softwares on today. These softwares are obtained best solution for the finance resource , the worker relation processes and the institutional service the management subject at the company.

SAP is used been activties while obtained all management and environment of process active checking. SAP and ERP are increased productivity and productivety. SAP is obtained buyer relation management , produce lifetime management , supplying chain management , relation with supplier management.
