1. Dormitory Cvjetno naselje
Our guest professors are mostly accommodated in the apartments for professors at the Dormitory Student Residence Hall Cvjetno naselje, Odranska 8, HR-10000 Zagreb. Entrance to the Dormitory is from Stupnička street. Scholars should contact the doorman in the doorman’s booth (if he is not in, he can be reached at the following cell phone number: 091 4593538.
Besides the accommodation facilities, the residence hall consists of a student restaurant, a coffee and pastry shop and a post office. Scholars are accommodated at the pavilion No. 8.
Bed linen is waiting for you in your room. You can wash your clothes at a nearby launderette in Stupnička 16, working hours: Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm, Phone: 36-38-655. In case of any problems or shortfalls in the room please contact the doorman in the doorman’s booth in the Stupnička Street.

HOW TO REACH THE DORMITORY (Studentski dom “Cvjetno naselje”)
FROM THE PLESO AIRPORT TO THE CITY
FROM THE PLESO AIRPORT TO THE CITY: Croatia Airlines runs a bus service from Pleso International to the bus station which leaves roughly every half an hour from outside the international arrivals and costs 30 kn/person ~ € 4. Or you can catch a taxi in front of the international arrivals. A trip into the city should cost no more than 200 kn ~ € 27 (start 16 kn, 1km - 7 kn, luggage - 5 kn).
FROM THE BUS STATION (Autobusni kolodvor): At the tram stop in front of the station take the tram number 5 headed towards PREČKO. Get off at the tram stop called VJESNIK. In front of you will be the building with the sign Vjesnik. The first street on the right to this building is the Odranska Street. Go straight ahead, you will find the student residence hall on your right.
FROM THE RAILWAYSTATION (Glavni kolodvor):
At the tram stop in front of the station take the tram number 4 headed towards SAVSKI MOST and get off at the tram stop called VJESNIK. In front of you will be the building with the sign Vjesnik. The first street on the right to this building is the Odranska Street. Go straight ahead, you will find the student residence hall on your right.
You can buy tram tickets at news stands or in the tram (one way ticket – 8kn ~ € 1)

FROM THE FACULTY At the tram stop in Vukovarska Street take the tram number 5 headed towards PREČKO. Get off at the tram stop called VJESNIK (3rd station). In front of you will be the building with the sign Vjesnik. The first street on the right to this building is the Odranska Street. Go straight ahead, you will find the student residence hall on your right.
OR YOU CAN TAKE A WALK (10 minutes). Walk to the end of Ivana Lucica Street, cross the Slavonska av. and turn in Cvjetna cesta street and first on the right is Odranska Street and the Dormitory.

Important note: PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL IN ZAGREB – you have to download and install the SecureW2 programme on your laptop – instructions are bellow.
Internet Instructions for the Student Residence Hall Cvjetno naselje
In order to have free Internet access in your room in the Dormitory for professors, persons coming from Europe, Australia and Japan should do the following:
1. bring your own laptop
2. take the credentials (username and password) from your home institution/university – Croatia is a part of Eduroam which stands for Education Roaming. This allows persons visiting Zagreb to log on to the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) using the same credentials you use at your home institution. Further information about Eduroam is available at http://www.eduroam.org/
3. get the UTP patch cable – in the building number 2 at the student residence hall – ground floor, warehouse (Croatian: SKLADISTE)
4. download and install the SecureW2 programme on your laptop (PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL IN ZAGREB!) – the following instructions explain how to do that:
a. Read connection instructions (1,2MB)
b. Download and install the SecureW2 programme
c. Read the instructions for software configuration (2,9 MB)
IMPORTANT! If you cannot get Internet access with the credentials from your home university, please read the procedure listed bellow (OIB and AAI).
IN CASE OF PROBLEMS
If you have any problems regarding the Internet access in the Dormitory, please contact the IT-office in the Student residence hall Cvjetno naselje - building No.7, ground floor, first door left from the Computer room and than right; WORKING HOURS: Tuesday, 3-4 pm
Important: When you go to the IT-office please make sure you bring the number of the network socket in your room.
OIB and AAI procedure:

AAI (electronic identity)
1. Take a certificate of your status at the Faculty (issued by Office for International Cooperation – contact: );
2. Fill out, print and sign the form: http://www.oib.hr/downloads/zahtjev-OIB.pdf for your OIB[1] number (necessary for your AAI);
3. Fill out, print and sign the form: http://infosl.ffzg.hr/pristupnica.pdf - for your AAI (electronic identity for wireless internet, Library, etc.)
4. Make a copy of your passport (or copy of your ID card if you are not required to have a passport for entering Croatia)
5. Take the listed documents and copies to:

6. At the Informatics Service Office you will have to sign the document (Suglasnost) stating that you agree that Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences can send a request to Tax Administration Office on your behalf; so that the OIB number is issued for you;
Note: If you don’t want the Faculty to send a request for OIB on your behalf – you can do it personally. Procedure is listed on the second page.
Informatics Service Office will inform you when your OIB and AAI will be issued.

If you want to submit the request for your OIB number personally,

procedure is as follows:
1. Fill out, print and sign the form: http://www.oib.hr/downloads/zahtjev-OIB.pdf ;
2. Take a copy of your passport (or your ID card if you don’t need passport for entering Croatia)
3. Take the listed documents and copies to the main Tax Administration office / POREZNA UPRAVA / Novi Zagreb

4. When you receive your OIB number – follow steps 1, 3, 4 and 5 noted on the first page as to obtain the AAI.
