-Information on the Promise Program can be found at BrowardPrevention.org

-Information about the Schoolhouse the Jailhouse program can be found at Safequalityschools.org

-A parent motion passed at the North Area Advisory Board to have a nurse at every school fulltime. This motion

still will need to pass at the District level.

-April 21st our school will host the North Area Advisory Meeting.

-The Parent Ed meeting at Coral Springs City Hall is open to everyone and is very informative. Commissioners, school

board members, police officials all collaborate at this meeting. Coleman will forward the email informing about this

meeting to Marsala in order for us to make more aware of it (via newsletter, all-calls, website, etc.)

*Principal’s Report:

-Walking through classrooms Murray is proud to see the engagement and rigorous activities taking place throughout.

The 8th grade Footprints project was amazing. Glad to see such a large parent turnout. With the quarter ending,

we will celebrate the large number of Honor Roll students with our grade level assemblies next week.

-Our school may be featured in a Channel 10 news story as one of 19 schools that did not pass the building inspection.

Within five days of our unsatisfactory report, another inspection was given and our school passed. A letter was sent

home and an all-call/parent link was made as well.

-Ms. Coleman and another parent inquired as to why we don’t also utilize the email or text parent communication

feature. Mr. Murray agreed to also send out all-call information via e-mail as well. He noted receiving complaints about

sending out so many all-calls.

-Looking forward to Spring and the annual meeting we offer for the parents of eighth graders, Mr. Murray will seek out Ralph Aiello from the District Guidance office to give a presentation about high school courses, requirements, etc..

-Our next meeting will be the first Wednesday in December.

*Motion to adjourn by Ms. Dollins; seconded by Gochin.
