3. Connoisseur (N) – an expert in matters concerning the Arts

4. Enigma (N) – a mystery; mysterious person or thing

5. Apathy (N) –lack of interest or concern

6. Empathy (N) - a feeling that is the same as someone else even if the situation

has nothing to do with you.

7. Credence (N) – belief or trust in someone or something

8. Jaunty (adj) – having a buoyant, self-confident air about oneself

9. Chaos (N) – complete disorder

10. Cult (N) – an organized group of people with an obsessive devotion to a

person or set principles.

**Call on 2-3 students to pronounce the SAT words

**Complete 2-3 word maps together(word maps due on Wednesday)

Students may use dictionary, thesaurus, Internet, or other sources

for help.

Student or teacher may choose the words to use(may vary from class

to class)(Refer back to PPT “SAT Schedule and Instruction”)
