6.1Planning & Economic Development

6.1.1To consider and if thought fit to grant Planning Permission in material contravention of the Meath County Development Plan 2001 in respect of Planning Application Reference DA/50406 for Donaghmore/Ashbourne GAA Club for:

demolition of existing clubhouse building and ancillary facilities; erection of 10 no. two storey detached dwellings with associated landscaping and site development works; car parking spaaces and boundary treatments. Also proposed is a new vehicular entrance to the public road and a proprietary waste water treatment plant all on a site of 2.495 hectares at Wotton & Newtown commons The Ward Co Meath.

The development would materially contravene objective 3.4.3. of the Meath County Development Plan which states, “it will be an objective of the Planning Authority to channel housing development in rural areas into Graigs and other designated development centres and to ensure that individual house developments in rural areas are functionally and socially linked to the rural area in which they are proposed.”(Managers Report to follow.)

6.2.1To receive progress reports on (a) R150 Duleek to Julianstown Road, (b) N52 Replacement of Glebe Bridge and (c) Dublin Outer Orital Route.(Reports to follow).

6.3Housing, Social, Community & Cultural

6.3.1Site visit to Meath Arts Centre at 2.30p.m.

6.3.2To receive presentation on Pride of Place Initiative.

6.4.1To receive a nomination for the County Meath Vocational Education Committee (as per attached notification letter of Mr Gerry Gibney’s resignation.)

6.4.2To receive 5 nominations for the Regional Health Forum, Dublin and North East.
