1.1 Cities served by Connex night trains
Connex night trains regularly have two departures daily from Stockholm and one departure daily from Göteborg. Major cities along the route that are served by Connex night trains include Hallsberg, Uppsala, Gävle, Umeå, Boden, Luleå, Gällivare, Kiruna and Narvik.
1.2 Customer service on board
Connex night trains have a full-scale restaurant coach serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, alcoholic beverages, snacks, sandwiches, coffee, tea and soft drinks. The restaurant coach is always located in the middle of the train set.
1.3 Night train composition
Connex Night trains normally have the following composition:
- 2nd Class 6-berth couchettes with WC/washroom in the coach
- 2nd Class 3-berth sleepers with WC and shower in the coach
- 1st Class 2-berth sleeper with private WC and shower in each compartment
- 2nd Class seating coaches

2.1 Legal basis of carriage
Carriage is governed by:
- The provisions laid down in the Agreement concerning international carriage by rail (COTIF),
- The standard regulations concerning the international contract of carriage of passengers and luggage (CIV),
- The Standard International Passenger Tariff (TCV).
Unless otherwise specified by the current general conditions.
2.2 Scope
The current General Conditions apply to the night trains of Connex on all or part of the following routes:
Stockholm – Narvik – Stockholm
Göteborg – Narvik – Göteborg
2.3 Tariffs
The tariffs are market-priced commercial products subject to special conditions of use. The fare range covers the different offers proposed for Connex night trains. These offers may be changed over time.

Sleeper accommodations can be booked as below. The price for 1-3 persons in a private sleeper compartment with or without in-room toilet and shower is sold at one unit price.

2.4 Children
Maximum of 2 children under 16 years of age who are travelling with an adult travel free in day coaches and pay a price of SEK100/child in couchette accommodations. The tariff code “child” (Hermes code 73) must be used.
For children travelling alone (up to 16 years of age) and youths between 16 – 26 years of age the tariff code “youth” must be used.
2.5 Pets
Pets are not allowed in the couchettes and sleepers.
2.6 Groups
The group discount, approximately 10%, is granted for journeys with 10 fare-paying persons or more if the following requirements are met:
· All group members travel the same route and class.
· The group discount applies only in seating, couchette or sleeper coaches and cannot be combined with other discounts.
The fee for accompanying children in couchette or sleeper are not considered fare-paying persons.
If the group ends up being less than 10 persons the group discount does no longer apply.
2.7 Luggage
Passengers may bring on board as much luggage as they can carry themselves, however, storage space for luggage is limited in the couchettes and sleepers. Connex reserves the right to deny any luggage that can be considered dangerous or extremely bulky. Skis must be packaged in a ski-bag to be considered as luggage. Passengers are responsible for their own luggage. Bicycles are not allowed on Connex trains due to safety regulations.
2.8 Lost and found
Lost and found for Connex night train is administered by Din Resebyrå in Luleå. If passengers have forgotten personal belongings on board the train they should be instructed to contact Din Resebyrå at +46-920-22 23 33.
2.9 Stop-over
Stop-overs during a journey are not allowed. A journey with a stop-over is considered as two separate journeys.
2.10 Smoking
All Connex trains are non-smoking.
2.11 Bicycles
Bicycles are not allowed on Connex trains due to safety regulations.
