LOCATION.--Lat 41°44'58", long 92°10'55" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.12, T.80 N., R.12 W., Iowa County, IA, Hydrologic Unit 07080208, on left bank 10 ft downstream from bridge on County Highway V52, 0.4 mi south of Ladora, 1.2 mi downstream from Coats Creek, 2.8 mi upstream from Little Bear Creek, and 8.1 mi upstream from mouth.

DRAINAGE AREA.--189 mi².

PERIOD OF RECORD.--Discharge records from October 1945 to current year. Prior to October 1966, published as "Bear Creek at Ladora".

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 744.94 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to June 27, 1946, non-recording gage; prior to October 1, 1980, at datum 10.00 ft higher.
