The Texas School Safety Center (TxSSC) at Texas State University is now accepting applications for the 2016 Youth Preparedness Camp. The center will scholarship teams of 10 individuals (9 youth and 1 adult) to attend camp, which will take place June 12 – 16, 2016 at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. Scholarships include lodging and meals, all training materials, and a CERT backpack with equipment. Receive a full 20-hour Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training, develop a community action plan, and acquire the leadership skills needed to address emergencies. Youth along with an adult sponsor should apply to attend camp as a group, and submit all application materials together by April 29, 2016. Seniors, apply for the ATPE Scholarship. Applications may be obtained from Ms. Giddens. All applications are due February 26th. NHS Alumni Scholarship Applications are due March 3rd.
