The Electrical Maintenance Manager is the one who is responsible for the handling and installation and repairs processes of electrical systems. They may work at the residential and commercial places. The job basically entails overseeing and maintenance of the proper functionality of all electrical units. He or she has to make sure the safety of the building. The electrical maintenance manager has to lead a team of assistants for ensuring seamless work processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

There are the following duties and responsibilities which should be necessarily fulfilled by an electrical maintenance manager:

  • The electrical engineer has the prime responsibility to oversee the proper working of all electrical unites.
  • He or she needs to conduct the routine check for detection of any malfunctions and the related issues.
  • It is needed to comply with all safety rules and regulations of working in the field.
  • The engineer needs to ensure the proper usage of the equipments.
  • It is necessary to handle the electrical testing of the equipment and tools properly.

Education and Qualifications

  • The basic degree required fro the job is a Bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree.
  • He or she should have done a diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering or any other related field of study from an accredited institution.
  • The other requirement is having a Post Graduate degree or a diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering or any other related discipline.
  • It will be a distinct advantage for the person having 2 – 3 years of past working experience of working as an electrical engineer.
