Stipend/Extra Work Memorandum of Understanding for Certificated Employees

This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is designed to account for work performed by Certificated employees that is beyond the normal duty day and for time beyond regularly contracted days of employment as noted in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) Article 10.1 and hourly work as defined in Article 22.2.5

Certificated employees must get advance approval of all “extra work” for which the employee is to receive compensation in addition to regular salary. If mutually agreed between the employee and site/District administrator a stipend may be agreed to for a task to be performed. In such cases, the certificated employee will be paid for completion of a specific project or task as opposed to an hourly rate. Attach assignment requirements and/or job description.

  • Under the direction of the BTSA Program Director, presenters develop and present content to BTSA support Providers relating to Program Induction Standards 6a. Based on teaching assignment and the adopted language program instructional model(s), participating teachers implement one or more of the components of English Language Development (ELD): grade–level academic language instruction, ELD by proficiency level, and/or content-based ELD.Program Induction Standard 3 Consistent with assigned responsibilities, program providers receive initial and ongoing professional development to ensure that they are knowledgeable about the program and skilled in their roles. Support provider training includes the development of knowledge and skills of mentoring, the California Standards for the Teaching Profession, Effective Teaching Standards (Category B of the Induction Program Standards), as well as the appropriate use of the instruments and processes of formative assessment systems.
  • This training is designed to ensure our Support Providers have the necessary skills and strategies to guide and mentor our beginning teachers’ pedagogy concerning English Language Learners.
