Recovery Support Staff

Summary/Objective
The Recovery Support Staff memberassists in the functions of a residential addictions treatment facility and the coordination of uninterrupted functioning with other departments so as to ensure smooth functioning of client schedules and to promote client recovery. Ensuring the highest level of client care must be at the forefront of the staff member’s thinking and behavior at all times.

Supervisor

The Recovery Support Staff member reports directly to and is supervised by the Housing Manager.

Essential Functions

  1. Greets clients with a smile and provides information and assistance. Answers client questions professionally and with accuracy.
  2. Inventories client’s personal belongings; conducts belongings searches and locks up client’s prescribed medications. Also, locks up items that are not to be brought to the treatment center (over-the-counter medicines, electronic gaming devices, mouthwash with alcohol content, weapons, etc.)
  3. Observes and documents client’sself-administration of medications. Ensures that medications are properly locked after administration.
  4. Prepares and maintains maintenance logs and reports.
  5. Communicates with other team members and supervisor regarding client’s activities and any necessary information that needs to be shared with other staff.
  6. Ensures the community is maintained in a safe, neat and clean manner.
  7. Assists in the housekeeping functions of the house, as directed by Housing Manager or in conjunction with Hospitality Manager.
  8. Assists clients in the coordination of activities as directed by supervision.
  9. Assists in the coordination of client transportation and as much in advance as possible as directed by supervision.
  10. Conducts and documents fire/tornado drills, which are to be done monthly and at a minimum quarterly per state regulations.
  11. Collects, documentsresults of, and stores urine samples as directed by supervision.
  12. Attends and actively participates in staff meetings.
  13. Other duties as assigned by Housing Manager.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
The position works in a typical indoor environment at a 24-hours/day, 7-days/week, 365 days/year position.

The position involves standing and walking.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work vary as we are open 24/7/365. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. The employee must be able to work various shifts and tolerate fluctuations in scheduled days off.

Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED diploma.

CPR/First Aid certified, assistant can be provided upon hire for certification

Valid Driver’s License
