April Vacation 3 v 3 Tournament
Tournament Rules
Tournament Format:
Games: 13 minute games, minimum of 4 games. The games will be running time no stoppages in play during the games (unless for serious injuries). The tournament will be a league format (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss). The top 4 teams will go through to the semi-finals – 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd; semi-final winners will play in a final.
Field of Play:
Goals can only be scored when the player shooting is in the attacking half of the field.
Starts, Re-Starts & PK’s:
Kick-Off: These can be played both forwards or backwards.
Throw Ins: There are no throw ins, pass ins only. Ball must be stationary before passed. Opposing players must be at least 3 yards away.
Corners: Regular rules apply; opposing players must be at least 3 yards away.
Goal Kicks: To be played from anywhere along the back line, opposing players must be at least 3 yards away.
PK’s: These will be taken from the half-way line, no goal keeper.
The offside rule will NOT be in affect.
Substitutions:
Substitutions will be made on the fly, the player leaving the field must be off the field of play before the substitute can enter the field of play.
Tie Breakers:
In the event of multiple teams with the same number of points at the end of league play, the tie breaker will be head to head record, most goals scored (up to 6 per game), least goals conceded and then PK shoot out. Best of 3 PK’s, followed by sudden death if still tied.
Semi-Finals & Finals:
These games will consist of the regular 13 minute game time, followed by 3 minutes of over -time (not golden goal) if teams are tied. If teams are still tied after over-time there will be a PK shoot out. Best of 3, followed by sudden death until there is a winner.
The Referee’s decision is final!
